EFSS brings together experience across youth mentoring, safeguarding, early intervention, education and work with vulnerable young people. Our relationship-based, child-centred approach combines professional understanding with practical frontline experience to deliver meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Experience That Makes a Difference
Eddie has worked as a youth support worker and mentor since 2020, supporting young people across a wide range of complex needs including exploitation, county lines and gang involvement, school exclusion, neglect, social anxiety, trauma and bereavement.
With a law degree and experience across a range of youth projects, Eddie combines professional knowledge with creativity, lived understanding and a genuine passion for helping young people make positive choices and recognise their potential.

A Different Way to Engage
Eddie also uses his creative skills to connect with young people through their interests. As a DJ, he can introduce DJing and music production, alongside practical creative activities including custom clothing design and printing and 3D printing
Inspiration & Aspiration
Eddie’s passion for helping young people fulfil their potential is also personal. As a father to a teenage son, he understands many of the pressures and influences young people face today.
Eddie is also the grandson of Wilston Samuel Jackson, Britain’s first Black train driver, whose pioneering contribution to British railway history is commemorated with a plaque at King’s Cross Station. His grandfather’s legacy of breaking barriers and creating possibilities for future generations strongly reflects Eddie’s own belief in raising aspirations and encouraging young people to recognise what they can achieve.
His passion is to inspire young people to be the best version of themselves and to see beyond their current circumstances towards the future they can create

Work With EFSS
EFSS is always interested in hearing from experienced, committed professionals who share our passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
We welcome enquiries from youth mentors, support workers, safeguarding practitioners and other professionals with relevant experience who may be interested in delivering mentoring, intervention, school programmes or community-based support through EFSS.
We are particularly interested in practitioners who can bring specialist skills, professional experience or creative approaches that can help us respond to the individual needs and interests of young people.
